What this site collects, and who ends up with it.

This covers ctrltechhq.com, including the Dayton Digital Foundations Program pages and their forms. CTRL TECH is based in Dayton, Ohio. If anything here stops being true of the site, the page is wrong and we want to hear about it.

What you send us

Program quiz: Your answers about location, team size and web presence, plus your name, business name, email, phone, business street address, city, ZIP, website link, the best time to call and how you heard about us.
Enrollment form: Owner contact details, business details and address, what you want fixed, your case-study choice and your acknowledgements of the program terms.
Where you came from: Both forms also send the tracking tags on the link you arrived through (for example utm_source=meta), the Facebook click id if there was one, and the page you landed on. This is how we know which ad or post sent you.
Portal sign-in: The email address you ask a sign-in link to be sent to.

What gets recorded when you visit

PostHog

Which program pages you view, how far through the quiz you get, the link tags you arrived with, and your browser, device and rough location. Once you submit a form, those visits are linked to the email you gave us. PostHog can also record a visit so we can see where a page breaks; what you type into form fields is hidden in those recordings.

Sets a first-party cookie to recognise a returning browser.

Meta Pixel

Tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that a browser viewed a page, started the quiz, sent it, or enrolled, and whether the answers placed the business inside or outside the program area. When you send a form, your browser turns your email and phone number into a scrambled code before anything leaves it, and Meta uses that code to match the visit to an account. We use this to see which ads work and to show ads to people who have already visited, including ads for paid builds to businesses outside the program area.

Sets the _fbp cookie, and _fbc if you arrived from a Facebook or Instagram ad.

Netlify

Hosts the site and stores every form submission. Like any web host it keeps request logs, which include your IP address.

No tracking cookie.

Google Fonts

The typefaces load from Google, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

No cookie.

What we use it for

To call you back about the program or the work you asked about.
To check that a business address is inside Dayton city limits, which is the area the program is funded to serve.
If your business is outside that area, to call you about building your site as a paid project, which the quiz tells you before you send it.
To run the program and keep the records its funding rules require.
To find out which ads, posts and links actually bring people here, and stop paying for the ones that do not.
To show ads to people who have already visited the site.
To find and fix the parts of the site that do not work.

Who sees it

Craig Johnson: Every submission lands in the CTRL TECH inbox. There is no sales team behind it.
The services above: Netlify, PostHog, Meta and Google, each for the job described. Supabase runs portal sign-in, and Google Workspace carries our email.
Program funders: For businesses that enroll in the funded program, the organisations paying for it, and anyone auditing that funding, can see the business details the funding rules require us to report.
Nobody else: We do not sell your information and we do not rent it out. We would hand it over only if the law required it.

How long it is kept

Form submissions stay for as long as we are talking to you about the program or a project, and are deleted when you ask unless funding rules require us to keep them. Analytics and ad data are kept by PostHog and Meta under their own retention periods, not held separately by us.

Your choices

See, fix or delete it: Email craigj@ctrltechhq.com and say what you want. We will answer within thirty days. The one limit: records for a business enrolled in the funded program may have to be kept for as long as the funding rules say.
Stop the ad tracking: Block third-party cookies or use a tracker blocker, or change what Meta does with site visits under Facebook Settings, Ad preferences. Blocking the pixel changes nothing about how we treat your application.
Do Not Track: The site does not respond to the browser Do Not Track setting. A tracker blocker does work on it.

The rest

This site is for business owners. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
